By Gailon Wisdom
The results of the much anticipated Juici Patties Mega

a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the studio of Mega Jamz 98.7 fm. Kevin Lewis,
host of Gospel Jamz and Sean Downer, host of Midnight Praise both

the awardees sat in the lobby section awaiting their awards.
Gospel Minister DJ Nicholas and Teena Tamara walked away
with the Gospel Deejay and Female Vocalist of the Year awards.
Nicholas, who enjoyed the success of his new album “Louder Than Ever”,
which was launched in the summer of 2008, was excited and grateful to
God and his fans who voted for him to capture the award.

It was a melting pot in the Bowl at the University Of
the West Indies, Mona Campus, as Best Dressed hosted its main annual
gospel event Fun In The Sun. It was scenery, greenery and energy on
display for the many thousands who came out in support. Scenery, due to
the colourful banners, multiple attractions and diverse crowd; greenery
by reason of the towering mountains, surrounding forestry and the soft
green grass grew all around; and all would attest to the fact that high
energy permeated from the stage and through the crowd.
One of
the most anticipated events on the gospel calendar, Fun In The Son is a
day and night affair where local and international ministers perform in
diverse ways in glory to Christ. Fun In The Son caters to the entire
family, providing entertainment, attractions and rides for children and
teens throughout the day, and the main event, which is the concert
segment, starts...

Dj Moses' Thanksgiving Service Review |

Rest in Peace was the main theme of all
who came to celebrate the life of Kasim Grant otherwise known as Dj
Moses. Family, friends, fans, colleague and almost anyone who came in
contact with Kasim were present at The Family Church on the Rock, St.
Andrew to say farewell to a man, whom many had respected for his big
heart and humour.
Although the service got off to a late
start, it did not interrupt what was planned. D.J. Nicholas presented
the first scripture reading, and then followed by an emotional
Gallimore who gave a rendition of one of his latest single. Ramona
Grant, widow of the gospel minister spent most of the service crying as
another family member sat beside her to give comfort. The tragic event
was too much for her to bear, that she was unable to give a live
tribute, and had to use a video tribute which was arranged before the
service.

Xtreme Impact's Jesus Peace Review |

Xtreme Impact's Jesus Peace was
simply extreme and extremely loud. The boarding population of the
University of Technology (UTECH) can certainly attest to that! The man
on the shout, DJ Nicholas kept it loud, and Cross Movement Records'
Christian Rapper Flame kept the hands waving and feet stomping. Young
and old found that there was something in store for them as it was not
about hype and exercise, but a few ministered in dub poetry form and
shared their testimonies. God is good.
But before the Xtreme Impact Ministry staged Jesus Peace,
they toured 16 schools over a period of two weeks. Schools included
Immaculate Conception, Vauxhall High and St. Andrews High Schools. A
variety of Kingdom Ambassadors marched along armed with the gospel of
peace, including our very own Deron Taveres, stalwarts of the fiwivoice.com
website family, Omari, Dunamis Reign and G-Tuff. Students from a number
of the schools visited were present to scream out at roll call .
Jesus Peace was the climax of it
all and the sound speakers did blast violently. As praise and worship
was about to come to a close the angry-looking sky above sent down the
rain...
