The Body Of Christ! E-mail

The human body is a beautiful, intricate piece of machinery. It consists of many parts. Some so small that they cannot be seen with the naked eye, and some so soft and vital that they are encaged within protective bone structures to preserve life. The wonderful thing is that with billions of parts performing different functions, they all work together in unison and form one body. You, me, we all are created by the most complex being there is, Jehovah, who gave us the head to oversee and ensure that the parts of the body works in harmony.

In I Corinthians 12: 12 ? 31, the Apostle Paul used the human body as an analogy to show hot the Body of Christ, the Church, should operate. He made it clear that even the most ?insignificant? part of the body is needed if the body is to function properly.

Sometimes we exalt the ones in the Church who possess the more excellent gifts like prophesying and teaching, and are inconsiderate to others, like the helpers. But we all have a role to play in the Body of Christ. ?And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked. That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.? [I Corinthians 12:12 ? 26].

Just as how the head (brain) is the part of the body which processes information, makes decisions and then gives directives to the body, in the same way we should allow Jesus Christ to lead and govern His own Body! He is the Head of the Church. [Ephesians 1: 22 ? 23]. We should humble ourselves and allow the Brain to process and tell the tongue what to say, tell the feet where to go and the hands what to do. If we as humans really think before we act, a lot of hurt and disappointment would have been avoided. In the same way, we should allow Christ to guide us, we should trust Him with all our hearts and not lean on our understanding, but in everything we do we should acknowledge Him. [Proverbs 3: 5 - 6].

As Christ leads, we should work together and follow. After all, without the eye we cannot see, without the ear we cannot hear, without the hands and feet we would experience difficulty daily, and without the skin, well, let?s not imagine that. We are all important, from the pew to the pulpit. Though the pulpit is sacred and significant, without the pew it would be meaningless. We are one body, from China to Africa, wherever Christians are.

Now we work together, but in time Christ will unveil to us the finished product, the masterpiece. To us and in us He will reveal His glory [Romans 8: 18]. Let us run this race with patience, together!

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
I Corinthians 1: 9 - 13

This article is a reminded that we should appreciate every regardless of how
they look are what they do. As children of God we at times to judge people based
on their status in the church and society. This, should not be so as God has
given each of us a purpose and unless we unite we will not be able to fulfill
his will for the church. How will we be able tear down the kingdom of God if we
are not united, when his troops are united? We will never be able to do it. If
we work together though true victory is ours. A posh pastor may not be able to
reach the crowd that a former convict gone good can.
Further more if one person
in this family slips the unsave are going to say "A so de whole a dem
stay." It's time for us to start looking out for each other instead of
fighting. We are one even if our denominations differ.
David sums it up in Psalm
133 when he says "Behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell
