Have you ever asked these questions? ?Why is it that others are being blessed and not me?? ?Why is my time taking so long to come?? ? Probably you have.

Isn?t it frustrating knowing that you are trying to live a holy life (no one is perfect) and to please God but yet still you are struggling. If you are doing the right things, why aren?t you bless yet? ? THAT?S BECAUSE YOU ARE ON HOLD.

Your life is carefully designed and orchestrated by God, nothing happens by coincident or chance, but is predetermined to be so. God said to the prophet Jeremiah ?Before I formed thee, I knew thee and ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.? Meaning that Jeremiah?s life was presuppose, by this I mean it was not an after thought but already planned.

Man?s creation was not an after thought; God did not create the Earth and then thought about the man afterwards. The creation event of Genesis indicates that all God created before the man He created it for the man. But God could not have created him first, because He had no where to put him. So what God did was to put the man (Whom He had first in mind) on hold so that he could set things in order for the man. The reason why you are last is because God is preparing your package first ? Being last isn?t so bad. Everything that God created from the first to the fifth day was in preparation for the man. On the sixth day when the man was created, all he had to do was to take dominion?? ?Your life is carefully planned by God.? Your path was prepared beforehand by God that you should walk in it, now it is your responsibility to find out what that path is and walk in it. God chose you for a specific purpose. If God didn?t have a special purpose for you and if He didn?t want you to succeed, then you wouldn?t have been born - It is of no coincident you were born.

Often times we allow the situations we go through to dictate to us that our lives are meaningless and have no purpose. That?s a lie from the pit of hell; don?t let your present situation dictate who you are.

The bible made it clear that you are what you think (As a man thinketh so is he). Therefore a man will walk in accordance to who he think he is. If he thinks big he will walk big, (This is not arrogance but confidence) but if he thinks small he will walk small.

It doesn?t matter how many good others may tell him, as long as he think otherwise, it makes no difference. God say you are prosperous, but you think you are destitute and therefore you walk in poverty "Refuse to walk in poverty because that is not your purpose."

That?s not the plan God has for your life, you weren?t a mistake!

You might be going through hell but hell is not your purpose ? the bible calls you royalty, set apart, chosen, peculiar. Before you were born God knew you and ordained or anointed you.

What this means is that God first anoints and then appoints in His timing. That?s the mistake that many Christians make, to believe that God appoints immediately after He anoints.

God had anointed Jeremiah a prophet from within his mother?s womb, but was not appointed a prophet until some years later. Another example is that of David. He was anointed king over Israel but was not appointed or his purpose was not fulfilled until some thirteen years later. Also there is the story of Joseph.

Between the anointing and the appointing?..God has a plan for my life and I intend to see it come to pass.

Apostle Paul puts it like this, where you are going cannot be compared to where you are at (Rom 8: 18). Your future is greater than your present. You may be struggling now (present), but expect later (future) to be greater. Though the vision tarry wait for it, it will come to past. So even though the situations don?t look good, wait (etc.) for God?s word is yea and amen. Your blessing isn?t going any where, because God has it on hold. He?s just waiting on the right time to bless you.

As the Psalmist says ?weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning? Technically morning begins at midnight, but at that time of the day it is still dark. I say this to say that often times we perceive our situation to be dark, when really it is morning. We are looking at the sign rather than the time. Yes the stars and the moon are out, but it is really morning! ? Morning is not necessarily blue skies and sunshine. The night is just a process. It comes with pain etc, but it?s just for a season - - day break is just around the corner. In Isaiah 54:7 God said to Israel. ?For a brief moment I abandon you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back.?

The devil can rob you of your blessing, but he can?t rob the blessing of you, because it is God alone who knows the combination to the safe. So the devil has no access to your blessing, he can?t touch your blessing, but he can touch the man that is blessed.

That?s why the devil wants to mess us up so bad. Because he knows what is in store for us.

And the way how I see it is if the devil can spend all his time eagerly trying to stop us from something that he doesn?t has access to, then our present suffering is worth the wait; if the devil doesn?t want us to have it, it has to be good.

No wonder James said ?count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptation?

Why should we be glad when we are going through trials? - Because our trials are testaments of where we are going. When the devil attacks us, inadvertently it speaks volume of who we are, and because we know where we are going, we don?t have to wait till you get there, but right in the midst of the trials we have a shout of praise.

So the next time you ask yourself ?why?? You can answer, ?That?s because I am on hold and God is preparing my blessing.?

The reason why you haven?t had that house, car, job, blessing etc yet, it?s because God is preparing them/it for you.

So in the mean time endure the process.

Today (June 14, 2007. 9:45am), as i sat in my office having my devotion and just
meditating on my life with God, the spirit reffered me to this article "On
Hold". Now i'm inspired by every word found as it reminds me of the God we
serve. If we ask God to order our steps, why worry about stuffs. The bible
states in Prov. 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not
unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall
direct your paths." And that's a promise. So all we need to do is to trust
God, dispite the situations, trials, storms or whatsoever you may call it.

However, if we trust him, we must be patience, cause God has us "On
Hold" and will grant us our heart's desire at that appropiate time, which is
his timing and not ours.

I am truly blessed by this message. This is absolutely prophetic. I am thankful
and blessed that you took the time to explain this concept of holding on in such
a strategic way. There are times when one wonder if its worth making an extra
effort to progress in the Kingdom of God, when there are no evidence, but with
much prayer and supplication one has to hold steadfast and not allow the
thoughts that the devil bombard your mind with, take a toil on your spirit man.
i have to agree with kayan on your analogy of midnight. A simply concept so
cogent.
lovely...

wow...im truly blessed and inspired by this message Preacha and Khimani's
comment. Really the title is beyond suitable it really goes in detail on a
perspective that most don't fully grasp even as children of the Most High and
I'm thankful you spent the time to expound and really insert the appropriate
bible references.
What really ministered to me the most was the part about
midnight actually being the start of a new day...the analogy was so simple yet
profound...

Peace, joy & blessings be unto u Preacha

I like this article!
Of a truth creation was for man. It was also for God's
pleasure. We have to be patient when we are going through our trials, and that's
why it is a part of the fruit of the Spirit. God has to give it freely, for we
would get anxious and go crazy at times when we don't see a way out.
Paul says
in Phillipians 4 that in whatever state he is in he learns to be contented,
whether riches or poverty. Even in chains he was contented, stating that the
Word of God isn't chained. We should not, however look at blessing only as
material, temporary things. Paul went through the worst of trials, but over and
over again he stated that God gave Him the grace to find strength. Strength was
his blessing! Not money or houses or jobs. Still, his ultimate blessing was On
Hold - 'To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord', and 'To live
is Christ and to die is gain'. Many of the apostles died for their faith.
