JAI {Jah.ye} - Jesus and I
Born February 19, to Allorie Heath , Jai is a Vessel being used by God,
who's purpose is to invoke in people the desire to fulfill Gods plan in
there life through his gift of music-written and vocal.
He began singing at the age of eight (8) years, doing
child like dub-plates on various sound systems in his home community of
August town, but it wasn't until he was fourteen (14) years that that
his professional Christian calling for singing and ministry was
realized.
The highlight of Jai's Ministry as a singer and song
writer began in 1997 when he became lead singer for the group "Total
Praise" where they entered the JCDC gospel festival
and placed among the Top ten, being recorded on the gospel festival
album in 2001. He later joined subsequent groups such as, "C-Sharp" and
the dynamic "Perpetual Praise".
Jai's popularity grew when he came along side Johnny Clarke
and signed to his label Marjohn Muzik, where the hit single "Cant take
my Lord" was birthed, and as vocalized by Jai, you truly can take
anything, but his Trust, Faith and Love for the lord. you cant take
that away!!
In 2003, Jai through his connection with Johnny Clarke became apart of Katalys Crew
, where he operated as lead singer and song writer for there second and
third album; "Open Your Eyes" and "Christmas ina Jamdown" with hit
songs Open up Your eyes, Only Gods Mercy, David Dance and Prayer for
Change ( Rap-pa-Pam pam).
He has also been on other albums collaborating with, DJ Nicholas - On the Shout and Ryan Mark : Chosen Prodigy .
Jai has traveled the Caribbean with Katays and as a
solo minister proclaiming the gospel through song to St. Martin, Cayman
Islands, and Antigua.
In February 2006, his contract with Katayls ended and he began his solo career operating under his own label "Image Records".
Presently he is working on his debut album called "Jesus and I" which will include his single, - All I need, Love and Jehovah.
He is also working with Family Church on the Rock Montego Bay as an
assistant to Pastor K. Joye Keane in the Music and Engineering
