Info: [ show or hide ]

Praise and worship artistes, Roger and Sam Grandison, have been leading worship for over 15 years, and are renowned for their infectious praise and worship music at premier venues all over the world. The husband and wife duo have ministered in Atlanta, Florida, New York, Italy, Jamaica, Trinidad, Tortola, Cayman Islands and Brussels just to name a few.

Their songs have also travelled the world, often without them, as they have written songs recorded by US artist Valerie Boyd, as well as Australian worship artist, Darlene Zschech. They have written a string of popular songs, which are sung in churches in the UK, Ireland, Europe, USA, South Africa, Canada and the Caribbean. Roger and Sam are also regularly featured on an endless list of TV shows across the world including a recent performance on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), with their own pastor, Bishop John Francis, of Ruach Ministries in London.

Roger and Sam would be the first to testify that each performance is an outpouring of gratitude for lives spared and the celebration of a genuine miracle.

During 1991 while travelling home from a sold-out performance as part of the gospel band Source of Light, tragedy struck. Another vehicle crashed head on into them, totally writing off their car. Roger was unconscious and presumed dead and Sam was in excruciating pain from a broken leg and other injuries, as rescue workers painstakingly cut them from the mangled wreck. As death beckoned, Roger’s medical diagnosis was grim. He had a ruptured spleen, severe internal bleeding, a smashed right arm all of his ribs broken as well as two collapsed lungs. Music was continuously played at his bedside to penetrate his coma and keep him alive.

After three days of prayers, the bedside vigil was interrupted as Roger regained consciousness. Doctors were confounded by his rapid recovery from what they believed was certain death. Several x-rays later, they were baffled by the perfect reformation of every rib which only days before were conclusively broken. Although the removal of his spleen was meant to disable his immune system, Roger continues to enjoy excellent health, and shares his amazing testimony at each performance.

Roger and Sam recently recorded their debut CD and DVD entitled “Roger and Sam Live in London” at the Fairfield Halls in London. Special guests joining them for this momentous recording included Noel Robinson, Sharlene Hector and Brian Temba of Lion King fame. The evening was widely reviewed as being a landmark occasion in the life of gospel music in the UK as they unfolded 13 self-penned songs executed by an exciting live band and vocalists. The album has since gone on to be one of the highest-selling gospel projects to come out of the UK and also received a Dove Award nomination in 2007.
