| Ryan Mark Country : Jamaica Date of Born: : 20 March 1985 Info: [ show or hide ] Ryan Mark (Ryan Reynolds) a.k.a. Prodigy was born to parents Dennis and
Beverly Reynolds on 20 March 1985. He spent most of his youth living in
the Kingston 8 area where he grew up with two brothers and two sisters.
His eldest brother, Howard, was a secular entertainer called Snakeman
and Ryan was determined to follow in his footsteps. In 1999 while
attending Calabar High School, in Kingston Jamaica, Ryan Mark and his
friends visited a church crusade with the intention of checking out
girls. However, the Lord had different plans for his life. As a result
of visiting the church crusade, he was captivated by the message and
surrendered his life to Christ, one week after his eldest brother
Howard, now known as Minister Goddy Goddy. Ryan Mark started out his
ministry by singing background vocals for his brother, then moved on to
doing his own work with Prodigal Son, who produced his first two songs,
namely, Decision and Feel Yu Got It Made, which were both featured on a
compilation CD titled Recharge.
In 2003, Ryan Mark was ranked one of the top eight gospel deejays in
Jamaica by the Love Herald. He later moved on to record songs for
well-known producer Danny Brownie, who produced his debut album, The
Chosen Prodigy, in July 2005. The album was released in the same year
and has been a tremendous success to date. It comprises twelve
electrifying tracks that present the gospel of Jesus Christ in a
radical way.
Ryan Mark has made appearances on some of Jamaicas biggest gospels
shows, such as Fun in the Son, Recharge, Genesis, Project 150 and many
more. More recently, he has performed on shows such as, St. Maartens
Summer Fest and Decisions 2006 Gospel concert in Turks & Caicos. He
has shared stage with the likes of, Kirk Franklin, Bobby Jones,
Tobymac, Audio Adrenaline, Papa San, Chevelle Franklin, Stitchie, Dj
Nicholos, Prodigal Son and many others.
Ryan Mark continues to be an inspiration to the youth of Jamaica and
wherever else in the world he is called to minister. He has a strong
message of repentance, holiness and love for God, that is a refreshing
change to the everyday dancehall culture for which Jamaica is
well-known. He is currently working on his second album to be titled
The Tabernacle, which promises to exceed the expectations of listeners
every where. Hes the P-r-o-d-i-g-y.
