Radical Invasion at Passionate and Pure 2008
It was a call to the manly masses, a dare for change and a chance for Godly passion!
At the recently held Passion and Purity Conference, the
Male Chapter, dubbed “Passionate and Pure”, a less than expected
quantity of men answered the call; but what they lacked for in number
at The Jamaica College auditorium on 189 Old Hope Road in St. Andrew on
October 25th, they definitely remedied in Praise.
When di Man dem Praise…is a sight!
The atmosphere of the Conference, which got off to a
9:45 am start time, was set by the males, [and company], of The UTech
University and Colleges Christian Fellowship (U.C.C.F.) Praise Team,
fresh off the warpath from Perpetual Praise the previous night, and saw
approximately 300 - 500 males from across the island “Trade their
sorrows” and declared “God is good” with a noted set of young men
proudly clad in their uniform from the Lewisville High in St.
Elizabeth.

Hey Guys, I recently received this in an email and it is a request for prayer for YWAM missionaries and their churches in
Orissa, India. The request came from Mable Hurst, an associate of HCJB
Global. Please read and make this a matter of urgent prayer.
Dear beloved sponsors and friends of Good News India.
We have never seen anything like this. We knew that Orissa was the most
resistant and hostile State in India as far as the Gospel is concerned. And
we brushed off the continuous threats and harassment we faced as we went
about His work. But none of our staff imagined that they would see this
kind of carnage.... And it seems to be totally under the radar of the
Western Media ....

WWJD When Sexually Tempted? |

WWJD is generally understood as ‘What Would Jesus Do?’
This is a question that Believers and sometimes unbelievers oftentimes
ask themselves when they are faced with certain situations, especially
compromising positions. And this is a question worth asking, reflecting
on the attitude and mind of Christ in order to escape temptation. On
the matter of sexual temptation, let us ask, “WWJD?!”
The
only account people point to from Scripture on the matter of sexual
temptations relative to Jesus is His encounter with the woman at the
well from Samaria, detailed in St. John 4. But today we will
ask the same question of another historical biblical figure, and he is
Joseph. WWJD: what would Joseph do when sexually tempted?

Earlier this month I was attending a meeting at one of my sisters’ school alongside a lot of other student representatives. Relatives of the students became so rowdy that the meeting was about to be forced to a premature end, but one person stood up and beckoned for the attention of everyone, and amazingly, she got it. She proceeded to relate a personal and frightening incident which took place earlier that week, involving her pre-teen daughter and a strange male motorist.
Her little girl, heading for home from extra lessons, encountered a stranger in a car who called out to her by name. She had never seen him before, but he knew her name. He instructed her to ‘get in the car’ for him to take her home, because her mother had ‘sent him for her’. She said her daughter reasoned with herself, “Mummy always take me to school, but she has never sent anyone to take me back home!” and so she refused.
He insisted and insisted, but she then turned back and stood in an open space. He then drove off.
