The Jamaica Youth For Christ (JYC) ensured that
Cornwall, Middlesex and Surrey didn’t start the year sorry and dreary

and fellowship in Christ. It was the annual Festival, Genesis, and for
2009 the theme is “Your Time To Shine”; From Montego Bay to Kingston to
cool, cool Mandeville Jamaicans from all over flocked to the various
venues with high expectations.
Kingston
and Mandeville went just about as planned, but Montego Bay had its fair
share of setbacks, upsets and lockdowns . Yes, Lockdown! While Kevin

Those who turned out to Light House Assemble (LHA) on
the 28th of November, for the second staging of Spanish Town Gospel
Fest 2 (STGF 2) would so willing attest to nothing less than
spectacular.
Emcee Dwight Ross got things under way, just after all in attendance
stood in attention while Jamaica's National Anthem rang through and

renditions of Donnie McClurkin's "Only You are Holy". Bro. Cole, LHA's
own 'Rising Star', was first out to christen STGF 2 stage; he got the
senior folk in a frenzy with two of his original pieces. Following,
were Spanish Town's own 'One Nation', Nadine, formerly of the group
NVoy; Instrumental Band, Mighty Horns and CMJ.
"Designed to Worship", the newest song out of songstress Judith Gayle's
catalogue, brought the event to another level...

‘Gospel House Party’ it was indeed! Fun, Surprising and
Entertaining was the focus of the night as many young adults and
teenagers journeyed across the waters to the Sunshine City, Portmore.
22 Portmore Drive, Independence City was the venue and strategically
planned out was it, with a dance floor, gaming area for video and board
games, along with a chill out spot.
DJ Wade and DJ Newton kicked off the night with prayer and then it was
just “pure crazy holy vibes” with music flowing from the in-house sound
system into the streets. Some of the latest reggae gospel, Christian
rap and contemporary gospel had the patrons grooving in turns on the
dance floor as they traded move...

Bus in full, bus out full! This is the daily scene at
the Half Way Tree Transport Centre on a typical afternoon. However, on
Friday December 19, 2008, the Nadine Blair led Perpetual Praise and
Friends which included Chosen Vessel, Prodigal Son, Murphy, Shepherd
and Teena Tamara, took church to the Centre. Persons were not in the
usual rush to go home, but stood on the walkways and receive the word
through praise & worship and testimonies.
Praise and worship started the night, as founder of the
Perpetual Praise Movement, Nadine Blair wasted no time but delivered
what God had planted on her heart. Songs such as “How Great Is Our
God”, “Massa God A God”...
