Allowed To Shine Ministries' (ATSM) Singled Out Singles Conference was, in one word, Awesome. The conference was held on Saturday, October 04, 2008 at Fellowship Tabernacle, under the theme “Move Me Out Of My Way” and was hosted by Nadine Blair, founder of ATSM.

The main presenters were Rev. Evon Blair, Ivret Williams, Pastor Mary Wildish Reece and Pastor Anthony McKenzie.

Despite the little over an hour late start, this event kicked off with a praise and worship segment lead by members from the “Perpetual Praise” team. After which came a drama presentation by Janet McLaren and drama team.

The first presenter was Counselling Psychologist, Ivret Williams. She spoke of God’s plan defined as S.M.A.R.T - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-based - and how important it was for God to “move me out of my way”.

Review, Sons Of The Prophet Album Launch E-mail

If you weren't at the Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Portmore for Jamaica's premier rap group's launch you definitely missed something. It would be worse if you were not able to catch our live streaming here at PraiseRiot!

Jody McCalla and True Worshippers got the Launch off the ground with worship, as the steadily growing crowd exalted the King of Kings. And worship they did! They really stir the atmosphere and hinted with their ministry that something great was about to happen.

After an opening prayer by SOP's pastor and spiritual mother, Pastor Rhoena Hinds, the stage was set.

First up was a man who SOP called their “big brother". Yes, Craig C took the stage to the wild screams of the now huge crowd. Fresh off a short U.S. tour, he used songs like 'God Man', 'Seek Him' and 'Wait' to further intensify  the atmosphere.

It Break Mi Heart E-mail

Ananda Dean is a name which was made popular by a dastardly and heartless act. An act which brought a heart drenching halt to desperate pleas and search by loved ones, after the news of the feared outcome found its way to their home. In no way insignificant, the story of Ananda Dean is just one example of the many harsh, inhumane and distressing acts meted out against Jamaican children. Had it not been the unbridled and desperate attempts by her family to get assistance, in hopes of holding their precious child in their arms again, had it not been those attempts, it seems another child's demise at the hands of criminals, who have now set their devilish and devious endeavors on the nations children, would have fell on deaf ears.

The stories of babies and children like Ananda have rung through and through our nations pathways; stories of children and women being subjected to grotesque realities, have carried on for way too long. How does a nation sit by silently?

This is a question that has really impacted gospel music minister/entertainer Andrew 'Omari' Edwards.

The Wages Of Sin! E-mail
Written by Khimani A. Williams

If I say, “The wages of sin is…” what would you say? “Death” right? Yes, and you’d be right on point. This is taken from Romans 6: 23a, and it is one of the most popular verses in the Bible. This ‘death’ is usually taken in its literal terms, that sinners will be separated from Jesus Christ forever. This is true, without God’s forgiveness we will die, being eternally condemned by God. [2 Thessalonians 1:9].

But in this life sin still brings death. Because of sin we naturally die, and it brings a lot suffering. Today the world is in a sad state of affair. The fabric of justice has been unwoven, and the rich becomes richer and the poor, poorer. Babies are sacrificed to cover up fornication, adultery and to ensure that goals and dreams are recognized. Millions are walking around with the HIV virus in their veins, all because of infidelity.
