Page 1 of 2 JAMAICA : RECHARGE ?WAR CRY? JULY 14, 2007 POLICE OFFICER?S CLUB 12NOON-11PM At 12noon the gates flew at the Police Officers? Club and the 6th staging of RECHARGE was underway. Various tents could be seen from Cari-Med, Malta, Pepsi, Bmobile, CPTC, Partner?s Financial & Investment Ltd to the official RECHARGE booth and patrons quickly made their way around the trapezoid shaped venue. By 3pm the obvious attraction was not only focused on the bmobile?s colourful booth & the games organized by the Radikal Team- Roshaun Thrift but also Micah?s stage rehearsal.
If that wasn?t enough, Police Officer?s Club was now teeming with patrons, stage lights were on and Dj Craig C was on roughly 6:30pm well dressed in a custom-made pin-stripped jacket, matching shirt & his signature chain. The crowd was no doubt in tune and it was all about effectively ministering with the likes of ?God Man Anthem?, ?Seek Him & Wait?, ?Scladi? and the much-loved ?You? featuring Murphy. Other ministers for this segment included Spiritual, Dj Praise, Hourace, Gamaliel and the Jamaica Star?s artiste of the month competition winner Norda McKenzie-Creary. 2nd Segment- MC?s Nadine & Wyatt (LOVEFM) By 7:30pm Nadine Blair & Wyatt K.C. Davis from LOVEFM took the stage as emcees for the final segment of the night. The Rock Dancers graced the stage bearing Jamaican flags for Omari?s favourites ?Tell Me A Who? & Help! To close with the soulful new song ?Only For You? which had most present worshipping and waving their hands in praise. Jermaine Edwards who flew in from his album promotion overseas delivered a brilliant medley despite sound problems. Jermaine even took a seat stage front to close with a hymn completely capturing the patrons? attention. |
