
BBC’s search for the world’s best new music for 2007, has found two Jamaicans being named in their top 20, on November 20, 2007 from thousands of people from over 88 countries. Among that list is very dynamic Jermet `J. Cee`, with her track `Nah fi Run`.
The competition which is being judged by a panel of persons, field a number of representatives worldwide and so described as experts and lovers of music with each having been `cherry-picked` for specialist knowledge in their field. They are responsible for evaluating and selecting the top 5 finalists for the world’s best five acts for the grand final in December.
On the night of the final at the BBC's legendary Maida Vale studios in London, each band will perform for the Next Big Thing’s jury: William Orbit, Talvin Singh and Nile Rodgers.
