This article is written to those who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. Whether you are atheist or agnostic or just a churchgoer who keeps trying to convince yourself that you are saved, this is to you. And I want to ask you what I believe Jesus is asking everyone: ?What about me?!? We live our lives in sin, all of us. Not one of us as humans was born perfect, because we are children of sinful Adam. Sin is what keeps us from God. We seek to please ourselves and not Him. It has always been all about us ? our riches or poverty, our friends and family, our ignorance or knowledge ? we care not for God, but what are we going to do about the most pressing issue? What about things eternal? What about the sacrifice? What about God?!

We broke God?s law which He gave to protect us! The law showed us who we are: sinners! Because of our lifestyle of disobedience and rebellion we became God?s objects of wrath. [Ephesians 2:3].

Because we are Adam?s children we deserve nothing but God?s condemnation. But as it stands He is not only a God of wrath, but a God of love and mercy and grace. Grace is what God extended towards all mankind, attempting to give us what we do not deserve. We get caught up in the cares of this life and the hype. It is always easy to say, ?Look how many religions! Why are there so many denominations?!? But God knows the heart. To those who truly seek for truth they will find it. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.? [John 14:6].

Jesus made a unique statement: ?I am the way!? Could He be wrong? What about Buddha, Allah, Selassie, the cows, the cars, the riches, the devil, ourselves? What about all these gods? Truth is absolute! Either Jesus is wrong or universalism is right, but not both. Either Jesus is the only way to life or He isn?t. What many of the world?s religions try to do is to add Jesus to their lineup of superstar deities. Some embrace Him as a prophet, others as a great philosopher or mystic. But Jesus can?t be grouped with anyone. He declared emphatically, ?I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.? What He is saying is that any other god we decide to worship apart from the God of Heaven, we will perish. Jesus is asking, ?What about me!?

We had a problem, but God gave a highly unlikely solution. Who would have thought that the Eternal One would robe Himself in human flesh to make it possible for us to be reconciled with Him by paying the cost for our sins?! ?You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.? [Romans 5: 6 ? 8]. The law of God has showed us that we are nothing without God. We are powerless and we have no plea, because ??whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.? [Romans 3: 9]. What this means is that because God has given His law to us we cannot appear before Him and say, ?I didn?t know.? We are all accountable to God for the life we lived.

What about Jesus Christ? He came and died for our sins. He paid the fine for us, the ones who actually broke the law. He declared, ?I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" [John 11: 25 ? 26]. ?Do you believe this?? is God?s question to us. What about God? You deserved nothing from Him, but He gave up everything for you. What about God? I plea with you to consider your standing before God. Don?t keep on storing up God?s wrath by living selfishly. Seek out the truth and you will find the Truth! God is patient with you. Do not turn Him away.

Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God "will give to each person according to what he has done."

Romans 2: 2 ? 6

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions?it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith?and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God? not by works, so that no one can boast.
