The life of this man of God expresses nothing
but the Power of God at work. He was the winner of the 2003 JCDC Gospel
Festival here in Jamaica.He is a graduate of the University of the West
Indies where he graduated with honors in November of 2005.
Kevin was appointed the office of an Evangelist in
2005,this coming right around to the time when God shifted his focus
from becoming a medical doctor to become a full time minister. He
attends the Faith
Mission Assembly of God on Maxfield Avenue, Kingston, Jamaica, which is pastured by Rev.Samuels.
He has done the song ?Nah Bow? with DJ Nicholas and
Jermaine Edwards, which had been a hit and is creating wave in Jamaica.
This song was awarded be the Marlin Awards as Reggae Recoding of the
year for 2006. He is also apart of a compilation album called REGGAE
FOR CHRIST which created history this year by being the only Gospel
album to ever top the New York and South Florida charts simultaneously.
He also ministers with the Perpetual Praise Team which
is seen as Jamaica?s premier praise and worship team, bring the light
of Christ to dark areas. Kevin Downswell has ministered all around the
island of Jamaica in many different spheres, such as schools, churches,
conferences, concerts, just to name a few. He recently completed a
number of shows in Canada in July 2006.
Kevin is currently working assiduously in completing his
eagerly-awaited debut album. He however has a pre-release CD out which
has been creating a stir; this includes songs such as ?Still
Stand?,?Joy?and ?Nothing Just Happens.?
Mr.Downswell?s desire is to evangelise the gospel of
Jesus Christ to the world through worship and praise. That each person
he encounters may experience God beyond measure and their lives
trans-formed for God?s glory.
Kevin is very humble and will stand by his theme verse
?That Christ may increase and he decrease?.St. John 3 vs.30. It?s never
about him it?s always about God.
