Pour It Out Review E-mail

If you were among the small but vibrant group present at the Miracle Open Bible Church in Portmore on the 3rd of July you know exactly what I am talking about when I say that praise is indeed alive and well in the hearts of our nation’s youth. No matter the minister who took the stage at “Pour It Out” the blessings of the Lord surely fell as His Spirit was truly poured out upon His people.

Put on by 3E Promotions in conjunction with the Miracle Open Bible Church, the concert was part in aid of the members of the church youth group to attend a camp in August. Several ministers from across the gospel fraternity were present at the event, ready to share with eager young hearts and bring the gospel forward.

among them were Chronicle, Omari, and Ordinary, and as each of them ministered, and as the congregation worshipped you could just sense that there was something greater to come. Those present, definitely enjoying themselves in Christ, welcomed Teena Tamara as she stepped onto the stage. With songs like “Can’t Live Without You” and her breakout hit “I’m Good” Teena left the congregation of worshippers wanting more. After Teena it was time for the local boys. Amidst incessant screaming and jumping Jamaica’s premier rappers took to the stage. Yes, SOP came in with their usual high energy praise party and took the concert to yet another level. With songs like “My God”, “Big For Jehovah” and “Still Standing”, and with the crowd chiming in lyric for lyric and jumping and praising in unison, the atmosphere was more charged than ever and it could only prepare us for what was to come.

What could it have been you ask? Well after SOP left the stage Perpetual praise was invited to close the show. “Undignified”, “You’re All I Need” and “I Need Thee” served as precursors to further usher in the presence of God. When they sang “To Worship You I Live” and “We place You”, the praise in the place grew exponentially as the congregation exploded in a euphoric worship experience that brings that unspeakable joy.

Closing with a prayer for the campers and the organisers of the event, Pour It Out was definitely a success as the fire of the Lord truly fell and the hearts of the people edified.
